Two-round Editing (TRE) process
Editage offers a two-round editing process (TRE) that is ideal for clients who require a second round of edit for their documents after revisions or alterations.
After the first round of edit, you can submit your document to peers, reviewers, or supervisors for feedback and suggestions. Once you revise your document based on their comments, you can submit it to us for a second round of edit. The second round of edit comes at a 40% discount, subject to the following conditions:
- The full manuscript must be re-edited (the discount is not applicable if you only wish to edit a part that was changed after the first round of editing).
- The language style of the manuscript must remain the same. i.e. if round one needed British English round two must also be edited in British English.
- The percentage of new/added content cannot exceed 50% of the original manuscript content edited by us in the first round of editing. For example your document was 1000 words in the first round of edit; you added 600 words of new content. Then you submit it for a second round of edit, this will not be considered for TRE as you have added 60% new content.
- The % of added content must be 50% or less to be eligible for TRE. This % of new content is calculated by us when you submit a file for TRE.
Advantages of TRE
- We accept manuscripts even with newly added text.
- We verify new or modified technical terms, formats, and styles and ensure consistency and coherence with the rest of the manuscript.
- The older material undergoes a second round of check to further enhance language and clarity.
Who can benefit from TRE?
| |
1. Individuals submitting a manuscript to a journal
We first edit the original manuscript according to the guidelines of your journal. You can then submit the edited manuscript to your journal, whose reviewers or referees will review the manuscript and recommend revisions or alterations. Once you have made these changes, you can send us the updated manuscript for a second round of edit. |

2. Graduate students (dissertation submission)
The content and structure of graduate dissertations are constantly updated and revised based on suggestions from instructors or guides, and it would not be feasible to edit such documents after each revision. Therefore, students can first submit a logical framework of their dissertation for editing. When work on the dissertation is completed, the document can be resubmitted for a second round of edit. |

3. Co-authors of a document
If a co-authored manuscript has been revised after the first round of edit, any of the co-authors can submit the revised manuscript to us for a second round of edit. |
