What is the two round editing service?
We realize that as researchers you may need to make several revisions to your paper before it is published. Typically changes are recommended to a journal manuscript by journal reviewers before it can be published. In light of this we have a special TRE or Two Round Editing service which is provided to our clients at a special rate.
If you wish to submit a manuscript for re-editing i.e. a document that has been edited by us previously you can avail the second round of editing at a 40% discount.
The conditions for the 40% two round editing discount are:
- The full manuscript must be re-edited (the discount is not applicable if you only wish to edit a part that was changed after the first round of editing)
- The language style of the manuscript must remain the same. I.e. if round one needed British English round two must also be edited in British English.
- The percentage of new/added content cannot exceed 50% of the original manuscript edited by us in the first round of editing.
Please click here for more details. |

How is the word count of a document determined? Do you count references, tables, figures, diagrams and graphs?
We determine the basic word count of an MS Word document using the Word count function of MS Word (go to the tools menu and click on word count) to this we add an approximate manual estimate for tables and graphs (if any).
We usually count references in the word count, as editors take considerable effort in cross checking and formatting these although they may not need extensive editing.
However if you do not want us to edit a certain part of your document please mention the same in your instructions and we‘d be happy to oblige. |
 |
Do you edit CV's and statement of purposes for university and job applications?
As a company policy, we do not edit any writing meant for submission to an external authority that will use it as a basis to evaluate you or your English skill levels. This includes documents such as CV’s, resumes, statements of purpose and essays for university admission. We do however edit statements of purpose meant for research grants or projects.
We also have the right to refuse certain homework assignments and test/exams papers whose purpose is to specifically enable an evaluation of your written English. |

I have a document that is very specialized in its subject area, how do I know you will be able to edit it correctly?
We have three specialized editing teams for Non-science, Physical sciences and Medical sciences, whose editors have the requisite academic backgrounds and editing experience to edit documents within these areas. In addition our editors research extensively before making any drastic changes in your document that may not be the norm within your subject area. All changes are highlighted through editor’s notes and are not final until you accept them, this is possible through the tracked changes version of MS Word which allows you to review each and every change made by us before finalizing it.
Please click here to check the list of subject areas we handle. You can be rest assured that even if your specific area of expertise may not be listed there we have edited documents from a similar area in the past.
If you are still in doubt of our ability to handle your document you could email it to our client servicing team who will show it to our editors and get back to you with a definitive answer.
