Native Eigo-juku is the popular mail magazine from Editage. Vol. 1, a compilation of 26 issues, was a best seller! So, we decided to bring out Vol. 2. This volume is a compilation of 45 issues and is divided into two sections.
One section contains 23 pairs of synonyms or commonly confused words and explains the differences between the two words in a pair. Two words could be synonyms (having the same or nearly the same meaning as another in the same language) but their usage can differ, e.g., any and every or do and make. After going through this section, you will be able to understand how to use such words correctly. Each word pair is followed by a practice exercise that will help you test yourself. Also note that the word pairs covered in this section differ from those discussed in the Commonly Confused Words section on the website.
In our mail magazine, we had asked readers to send passages that they would like us to edit and feature in the magazine. The other section of this e-book contains the passages sent to us by readers along with our edited version. After each edited passage, we have provided tips that will help you when writing a letter, an e-mail, assignment, etc.
