Editage offers a Multiple-Round Editing (MRE) service to equip authors with a high-quality, publication-ready document.

What is MRE?
MRE is available for documents that have already been edited by us. Sometimes, authors need to revise parts of a document after it has been edited. Under MRE, a professional editor re-edits this revised document to ensure that it is publication-ready.
Here’s how it works:
We edit
your document
You revise it based on the editor's comments or other factors
You send us your revised document
We edit your revised document
Editage’s MRE service offers you
- Discounted or free re-editing (discounted, under Advanced Editing; free, under Premium Editing)
- A publication-ready paper that has benefited from your revisions and the editor’s linguistic expertise
How to avail of MRE
MRE is offered for documents previously edited under the Advanced Editing or Premium Editing service. There is no limit to the number of times you can avail of MRE: you can use it as many times as you need to.
MRE for the Advanced Editing service
Eligibility criterion 1
The revised document should not be significantly different from the original one; revisions should amount to less
than 50%.
Eligibility criterion 2
The entire revised document (and not parts of it) should be submitted for MRE so that the editor can check the revisions within the context of the entire document.
Editing options
You can instruct the editor to either
» edit the entire
manuscript, or
» edit only the revised
parts but make
necessary changes to
the rest of the
manuscript.
40% discount
You receive a 40% discount on the editing price.
MRE for the Premium Editing service
Eligibility criterion 1
The revised document should be submitted for MRE within 60 calendar days of the previous round.
Eligibility criterion 2
The revised document is not significantly different from the one in the previous round, i.e., the revisions should amount to less than 50%.
Eligibility criterion 3
The word count of the revised document should not exceed that of the original by more than 20%.
Free
MRE is free under the Premium Editing service*Notes:
- Free MRE is part of our ongoing support for Premium Editing; in this case, the TAT depends on the amount of rework required and the availability of your previous editor.
- In the case of a free MRE, if the journal you are submitting to, changes in a subsequent round of editing (which is a rare possibility), we will apply a nominal re-formatting charge that is 10% of the original job fee.
- To receive the maximum benefit from each round of free MRE, it is preferable that you submit the complete revised paper for MRE. This helps your editor understand your revisions in context of the entire paper.
