How we recruit editors

Editage works with an professional team of editors, each hand-picked through a 4-stage recruitment process. We select editors based on

1.	Their subject area expertise
2.	Their language skills
3.	Their editing experience

Securing a position on our editing team is a highly competitive process and we typically hire less than 1% of all people who apply to us.

Editor training

Every editor who joins Editage undergoes a 3-week training program that trains them in

1.	Advanced grammar
2.	Advanced academic writing
3.	Style manuals from different fields
4.	How to format papers for journals
5.	How to communicate with authors

Even though many of our editors are familiar with some or all these aspects of editing, they must compulsorily undergo our training program so that you may be assured of great and consistent service.

The Editage Quality team

Editage has a 7-member Quality & Training team that

1.	Analyzes client feedback
2.	Monitors the quality of edited documents on a monthly basis
3.	Provides monthly feedback to editors
4.	Provides ongoing training to editors
5.	Handles client complaints

Our Quality team is composed of our senior most editors and technical experts and has its own Managing Editor.
