(August 26, 2018; Philadelphia, U.S.) The rapidly changing scholarly publishing space has been seeing higher submissions from non-native English-speaking authors, and as a consequence, the need for focused training in all aspects of academic publication has seen an upward spike.
(June 19, 2018; THOROFARE, NJ) SLACK Incorporated, an independent STM publishing company, announced today that it has engaged with Editage to launch author services for its peer-reviewed journals. SLACK Author Services, powered by Editage, are designed to support authors with not only end-to-end pre-submission manuscript preparation, but also translations and post-publication research communication. Many of these submissions are from international authors who may be developing innovative research, but who have previously found difficulty in publishing due to language barriers or other obstacles to accessibility.
(May 18, 2018; Philadelphia, U.S.) The scholarly communications landscape is quickly adopting new technologies and integrating automated solutions to make things easier for publishers. Editage launches Ada, an Automated Document Assessment solution specifically designed to assess scientific content in research papers. Ada is named after Ada Lovelace, who worked on Babbage’s Analytical Engine and is regarded as the first computer programmer.

IJS Publishing Group has adapted to the Open Access movement seamlessly with many of their journals being Open to everyone. The IJS Press also partners with societies and institutions interested in launching their own Open Access journals. Their portfolio of 12 specialty journals is only expected to grow to cover more subject areas in the future. Through this partnership, IJS Publishing group will offer high-quality services powered by Editage. These services include English language editing, academic translation, rapid technical review, artwork preparation, plagiarism check and post-publication research communication services such as video summaries and infographics.
(January 24, 2018; Philadelphia, U.S.) — Cactus Communications is proud to announce that it has been named in the top 20 of FlexJobs’ global list of the Top 100 Companies to Watch for Remote Jobs in 2018. This list is based on an analysis of over 49,000 companies and their remote job posting histories in the FlexJobs database. To be considered, the jobs offered by these companies had to be remote-friendly, either allowing for candidates to telecommute entirely or part of the time. Overall, the list represents 19 different industries across eight different countries.
