Quantum teleportation is the question. Quantum entanglement is the answer.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Probably the most famous Nobel laureate that leaps to mind when it comes to quantum mechanics is Albert Einstein. However if anything, this year\u2019s scientists, have built on a long line of work, disproving Einstein\u2019s theory, transforming it into demonstrable technology. And yet, Alain Aspect, one of the trio of this year\u2019s Nobel laureates, hold Einstein and his theory in the highest of regards. \u201cWe must give credit to Einstein to have raised the question\u201d. And in science, the question, is as important as it\u2019s answers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest in the answers around quantum mechanics for which our Nobel laureates have been felicitated of course, is quantum entanglement. The question is quantum teleportation. Something that Anton Zeilinger accomplished developing a mode of quantum teleportation over 144 kilometers between two Canary Islands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are at the gateway of a future built on quantum entanglement. A future of quantum computers, quantum networks and impenetrable quantum encrypted communication. John Clauser, Alain Aspect, Anton Zeilinger, are leading us into that future. The Nobel will ensure, that many will follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is some interesting facts about our three latest recipients of the Nobel –<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. In 2010, all three scientists were awarded the Wolf Prize in Physics, they have now come a full circle 12 years later with their Nobel Prize win. <\/li>
  2. In 1976, John Clauser carried out the world’s second experimental test of the CHSH-Bell’s Theorem predictions. <\/li>
  3. Asteroid 33163 Alainaspect, discovered by astronomers at Caussols in 1998, was named after Alain Aspect<\/li>
  4. Anton Zeilinger received the first Inaugural Isaac Newton Medal of the Institute of Physics, London in 2007 for “his pioneering conceptual and experimental contributions to the foundations of quantum physics, which have become the cornerstone for the rapidly-evolving field of quantum information.”<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
