I have got my paper edited by you before. Now this paper is at "Revision Requested" stage. I read the editor's mail which mentioned major revision. The paper needs extensive revisions which will take me around 2 months. There is an "Agree to revise" and a "Decline to revise" button on the submission system. Should I click on "Agree to revise" now and return the revised paper after two months? Or should I click on it after my revision is almost done? Sorry this is my first time submitting a...

I submitted my paper in October 2017. At first, the status was 'Not assigned, Under review, Assigning review, Under review.' After one month, it changed to 'Evaluating recommendation.' Does this mean the editor-in-chief is making a decision on the reviews received?

I submitted a manuscript in July and got a minor revision decision in August, then re-submitted the revised manuscript immediately. After that, the status remained unchanged at “Editorial assessment” for about 4 months. I sent reminders twice, but received no response. For my third reminder, I got a reply from the editorial office apologizing for the delay and saying that they had asked the senior editor to process my manuscript on priority but the senior editor hadn't repied yet. It's been one...

I wrote a pre-submission inquiry and the Editor-in-Chief replied as follows: "Can you send me a draft to take a look at?" You always recommend not to send the manuscript in a pre-submission inquiry. What do you think about sending him a draft? Is it a risk?Note: the journal is "Pharmacoeconomics."

The structure of the cover letter of my journal demands a list of the colleagues who have checked my article. But I don't have any such colleagues.

Hi, I submitted one paper to Transport Policy (an SSCI journal) on 4th July. It's almost 5 months since initial submission. The status changed to "Ready for decision" on 6th November and has stayed there for a month. I didn't get any notification when the status change occurred. Is it appropriate to send an inquiry to the editor now? Or should I wait longer? Normally how long does it take for the first decision for economic geographical SSCI journals? Sorry this is my first publication...

My organization, MTAA, is considering adding a competition for best articles by a member in the past two years, and another for best article in the past ten years. Apart from subjective, well-supported evaluative comments and numbers of citations, is there some other comparative, evaluative method for comparing articles from different fields?

Hello! My manuscript has been accepted, but I was asked to do some corrections. I completed the corrections and resubmitted it. I then checked the status of the paper and saw that it had changed to "archived." What does it mean? Thank you.

I submitted a manuscript and it became “Under Review” in 3 days, then changed to “Ready for Decision” in 10 days, but returned to “Under Review” the next day. After two days it became “Ready for Decision,” but again changed to “Under Review”the next day. This process has been repeated for 3 weeks and the current status is “Under Review” for the fourth time. What does this mean?

I submitted a manuscript in an Elsevier journal around 3.5 months ago. Within 1.5 months of submission of the original manuscript, I got the reviewers' comments. After making corrections I have submitted the revised manuscript around 1.5 months ago. The status was "with Editor" until 2 weeks and then it went to "under review." Around 3 weeks later, they updated the status "under review" again. Usually, peer review for a revised paper takes shorter time compared to the original manuscript. Could...
