I submitted my paper to an Elsevier journal. It was sent out to one reviewer only and the editor gave a moderate revision decision. After resubmission, it changed to "Under review" after 12 days, and then "Reviewer request completed" after another 3 days, but it changed to "Under review" again after 7 days. What does it mean?

The journal I have submitted to requires the signature of all the authors when submitting a paper. The co-authors reside in different parts of the world, so it will take too much time if we send the document by post to one person, they sign it and send back and then we send it out to the next person. We are thinking of taking the signature of each person on a different copy of the document rather than on the same copy, so that there are 4 signed documents in total. Is that acceptable?

I face some problem while submission. After reading your response on "How do I withdraw my paper from a journal that's demanding money for a confirmation letter?", here are my questions:1. I submitted to one journal and got accepted quickly. Then journal kept pushing me to pay APC. After I verified, I found that journal is not indexed in SCI, so I sent a withdrawal request. But the journal said that I need to pay 30% waiving charges. How should I reply?2. You mentioned in the article that "The...

I submitted the original paper to a scientific paper. The status remains unchanged with “Under review” for 3 months. Isn’t it impolite if I send an inquiry to the editor to say that “I want to know when the review would be finished”? For this journal, the average duration from submission to acceptance is 5 months at the shortest and 18 months at the longest (based on data for the past 3 years).

I submitted my paper to an Elsevier journal. After three months, I only received comments from one reviewer. Just to add, the "reviewer invited" status remained constant for two months, and the editor gave a moderate revision decision. I resubmitted the revised manuiscript after 20 days. Status changed to "under review" from "reviewer invited" on 9th June. The status date changed the very next day although the status was still ünder review." what does this mean? Did the editor invite new...

The status of my revised manuscript has changed from 'Awaiting ME Processing' to 'Under Review' and now to 'Revision'. What exactly does 'Revision' mean? Does it mean the same thing as 'Awaiting Decision'?Meanwhile, the trajectory of the first and second review cycles of the paper did not include 'Revision' as a status; the status changed from 'Awaiting ME Processing' to 'Under Review' and then an email communicating the decision of the editors and reviewers.

I submitted a research paper to an Elsevier journal. After 4 months, I got a major revision decision. I submitted my revised paper and after one month, received comments from reviewers. The editor wrote: "I am pleased to inform you that the article cited above which you submitted for possible publication in XXXX has received favorable reviews from the referees. However, they suggested some modifications to be implemented before the manuscript is published. Copies of the referees' comments are...

What is the meaning of Submissions with Production Completed (1) + Submissions Being Processed + Editor assignment pending (current status)?

I submitted the revised manuscript along with my responses to all the comments of two reviewers. Within two days, the status was changed to "under review," but even after 21 days, the status is still the same. Only the status date was changed. Do you have any comments/suggestions for this situation? Thanks in advance.
