My major is in computer science and I submitted a paper about system composition to provide new services. The article is based on the major technologies that have been introduced into this field at present and how the system is configured to transmit data and what service is possible. The final opinion on the submitted paper is a major revision, and I received an e-mail with a comment saying that the reviewers have recommended publication, but also suggest some revisions to your manuscript. But...

After submitting my manuscript to an Elsevier journal on 22 April, it was "Under Review" until 4 May, whereby the status date changed but the "Under Review" remained. On 25 May, the status then changed to "Under Editor Evaluation". Is this normal? Usually I would expect "Reviews Completed" followed by "Decision in Process". Is this standard practice for some Elsevier journals or is my manuscript in trouble since it is going on a different route? Thank you for your advice.

I submitted a manuscript to an Elsevier journal on April 19,2018. The status changed to 'Reviewer Invited' on May. 20,2018. After 10 days , the status changed to 'Ready for Decision.' There was no 'Under Review' status update in between these two statuses. What does this mean?

I submitted a manuscript to a journal A of American Chemical Society through ACS Paragon Plus in the beginning of April. But the editor immediately informed me that my manuscript was not suitable for their journal, and recommended transferring it to their affiliated journal B. I sent a reply accepting their recommendation in the middle of April and I transferred my manuscript to journal B through ACS Paragon Plus after revising the format. Two days later, I submitted the Complete Journal...

I found an appropriate conference that meets my topic, however, I don't know how this conference is good and I am worried about whether it is ok to submit my conference paper.IEEE Conference is somewhat reliable, but this conference name is a little bit different. The name is IEEE-EMBS Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Sciences (IECBES 2018). The conference homepage is https://www.iecbes.org. Could you give me a tip on choosing a right conference?

I submitted my manuscript to an Elsevier journal. Review for the manuscript was completed within a month and the status showed “Ready for decision” for the past 2 months. It is a paid journal but they sent incorrect bank details (different from that mentioned on the journal's website). I requested them twice to send the correct details but received no reply from them. Can I withdraw my manuscript or should I wait for their response? If I withdraw my manuscript, will it have any bad effect on my...

I submitted a manuscript to a journal hosted by Elsevier and after four days, the status changed to "With editor". However, it took 6 weeks before the status changed to "Under editor evaluation" directly. It seems like the editor skipped the "Under review" process which seems very weird to me. Has anyone else experienced such a situation before?

My paper has been accepted and the status has changed to "send to production." Do I need to do anything? There is no mail from the journal. I just saw this on the submission system and there are no instructions from the editor. What should I do?

I first submitted an article to BMC Public Health on July 24th, 2017. The associate editor (this journal has open peer review system; thus, I could know who was the reviewer) requested revisions twice, which I complied with, but the final decision was a rejection. I received the decision by mail on March 20th, 2018. It took almost 8 months.According to the reviewer, the paper did not contain the right message and needed a significant overhaul to be published. I fully respect the reviewer's...

We submitted a research article in October 2017. The corresponding author told me that the manuscript was rejected; but actually, the Chief Editor and reviewers had asked for revision and resubmission. Usually in ScholarOne, there are two months for revision as per the journal website. However, I resubmitted the article on April 13, 2018. After resubmission, if I remember correctly, the status changes were – “Admin processing,” “Assigning AE” and “Selecting reviewers.” I wonder if the article...
