Q: How do I cite the source information for a table in MLA format if I have used two sources?
I am creating a table that has information that comes from two different sources. In other words, I am combining data from two sources, thus I need to cite them. For MLA style, I think it is usually written below the table, saying "Source: Author's last, etc." But since I have two citations, what do I do?
As you have correctly mentioned, in the MLA style, the source information is mentioned underneath the tables, irrespective of the number of sources you have used. Often, papers cite three or four different sources below the table. The rule remains the same for a single source and for multiple sources.
