Q: How to list the equipment used in the research?
In the paper I want to list the product name (company name, city, country) of the needles and catheters used in the research. When the designer and the manufacturer is different, which should be listed?
Thank you for your question. The idea behind providing the readers with the manufacturer information is to make it possible for competent researchers from your field to replicate your study. With this aim in mind, you need to include the information that would help other researchers procure the equipment you used. If the manufacturer/supplier details are all that other researchers need to be able to do this, you only need to provide that information (the details about the designer wouldn’t be necessary).
