Hitting a deadline is not the same thing as finishing a project. Sometimes you have to stop and create a product based on where you are, not where you think you finally will end up. That’s ok. Produce the best interim product you can, then go back to work--or come back to the work when you can. (I have just returned to a project that I started over 35 years ago and have recently gotten two publications out of it.) Don’t let the fear of “but it’s not DONE” stop you from sharing what you have completed.
