It's really tough to remember that I am a person outside of academia/my job sometimes. Especially when my mind is swamped with all the things I am trying to do/feeling guilty about not doing/planning to do to try and be successful. I find a mindful (but physically intense) yoga practice at the end of my work day is wonderful to break that cycle a bit. Once yoga is done, all things work related for the day are done. If anything comes to mind, it is written down in my notebook to be dealt with the following day.
