Q: My manuscript was accepted but then the decision was rescinded. What does it mean?

Detailed Question -

Dear all, I submitted the revision of my manuscript two weeks ago. I was notified that my manuscript has been accepted. But one day later I received another notice saying the lastest decision has been rescind and returned to the previous status. Now my manuscript is in the "Revision being processed" status. What does it mean? Thanks in advance.

Answer:

I'm sorry to learn about the situation. This may have been a result of an error on the journal's part (marking "accepted" by mistake, for instance) or some change in the journal's policy or editorial board that has made them reconsider their decision. It could also involve a similar research submitted by another group of authors, or a minor issue, such as typesetting revisions that the journal needs to make before publication. I would recommend that you contact the editor regarding this. We would be happy to assist you with this communication via our journal correspondence service.
