Q: Need advice on the use of images
There are multiple microscopic images taken of the same identical sample. Their exposure and focus are slightly different. Is there any ethical problem in using each image in a series of related papers respectively?

However, please ensure that you seek permission from the co-authors of the previous papers in the series before using the images in the subsequent papers in the same series and insert the relevant citations. If you intend to reproduce the images in your subsequent papers (e.g., Copyright Permissions: Tips for Authors), then most journals require you to cite where the image was reproduced from and if appropriate permissions were sought.
