Q: Points to be considered while writing a research paper when comparing a new work to an already published work.

Detailed Question -

I am currently working on developing a SWAT model for a basin. After I have developed the model and figured out its hydrological components, I need to compare my work with an already published work that was done for a different region. Can someone give me suggestions on how to proceed with my paper? or give me links to similar works so that I can get some ideas! Thank You.

Answer:

Thank you for your question regarding an interesting research topic! May I recommend that you avail of our Research project assistant, which is an AI-powered research publication tool that helps you with journal recommendations, finding papers to cite, and more. Once you find the right papers to refer to, you would be able to identify gaps in the literature that your study can address or find parameters that are used in existing studies for comparison between regions as well as factors that should be controlled for in such comparisons. This in turn would help you establish your research's purpose and metrics, from where the rest of the paper can proceed. Please feel free to let me know should you have further questions.
