Q: What does it mean "Minor Revision-no additional reviews required"?
Hello. I have submitted my paper to a Sage journal. After 4 months received a review report with minor revisions. 3 months later of submitting the revised (R1) version, I have received again the review report for Minor revision further required. Now after submitting my second R2 version the submission system showing a status that R2 is In Review and "Minor Revision-no additional reviews required". What does it mean?
The editorial board of the journal can take a call on whether the revised manuscript needs to be sent back to the peer reviewers for approval after minor revision. In this case, "no additional reviews required" would mean that the journal editors will themselves check whether the minor revisions suggested were made satisfactorily and the manuscript will not be sent back to the peer reviewers. This will save time and allow the final decision to be communicated to you quickly.
