The limitations of a study are the flaws or shortcomings of the study. No study is perfect. Once you complete the study and analyze the findings, you may realize that some aspect of the research could have been improved in order to better answer the research question. For instance, you could have tried a different methodology, looked at additional data, studied another population, and so on. In the Discussion section of the paper, just before the conclusion, you need to describe the limitations of the study in brief. This shows to the reviewer that you are familiar with all aspects of your study and also have an honest approach to research in general.
