Q: Which academic writing tool is most suitable for chem Engg. student? Latex or Word?

Being a researcher myself, this is one of the questions I come across very frequently. This is one of the hottest debates in the writing world! However, the answer isn’t as hard as you think it is. It’s right there, just not where you are looking for it! Have you heard of something called puffed up? Well, that is the scenario with LaTex and Word. They sure are good in some fields but not too reliable for academic writing and research.

In my opinion and thorough experience in this field, I would recommend you Typeset. It is a smarter alternative to MS word and Latex especially designed for the sole purpose of academic research writing. You can choose from thousands of journal formats and all your needs will be taken care of. Before researching or writing a journal, there are ample things to look into. However, a lot of tools are readily available to make that work easier for you. Take this list of Chemistry Journals for example. Academic writing is not an easy job but with adequate research and usage of appropriate tools, you can get through.

Hope it helps. I wish you all the best for the future.
