The details of the laureates\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">that major stakeholders of science and research would find interesting are as follows<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><strong>The Ig Nobel Chemistry Prize <\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">To <strong>Callum Ormonde <\/strong>and colleagues at the University of Western Australia for inventing a chemical recipe to partially un-boil an egg<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><strong>The Ig Nobel Physics Prize<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">To <strong>Patricia Yang<\/strong> at Georgia Institute of Technology, US,\u00a0for testing the biological principle that nearly all mammals empty their bladders in about 21 seconds (plus or minus 13 seconds)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><strong>The Ig Nobel Medicine Prize<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">To <strong>Hajime Kimata<\/strong> at Kimata Hajime Clinic, Japan, and also <strong>Jaroslava Durdiakov\u00e1<\/strong> at Comenius University, Slovakia, and her colleagues for experiments on and study of the biomedical benefits or biomedical consequences of intense kissing (and other intimate, interpersonal activities)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><strong>The Ig Nobel Mathematics Prize<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">To <strong>Elisabeth Oberzaucher<\/strong> and <strong>Karl Grammer<\/strong> at the University of Vienna, Austria, for trying to use mathematical techniques to determine whether and how Moulay Ismael the Bloodthirsty, the Sharifian Emperor of Morocco, managed, during the years from 1697 through 1727, to father 888 children<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><strong>The Ig Nobel Biology Prize<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">To\u00a0<strong>Bruno Grossi<\/strong> and colleagues at the University of Chile, for observing that when you attach a weighted stick to the rear end of a chicken, the chicken then walks in a manner similar to that in which dinosaurs are thought to have walked<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><strong>The Ig Nobel Diagnostic Medicine Prize<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">To <strong>Diallah Karim<\/strong> and colleagues at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, UK, for determining that acute appendicitis can be accurately diagnosed by the amount of pain evident when the patient is driven over speed bumps<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><strong>The Ig Nobel Physiology and Entomology Prize<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">To <strong>Justin Schmidt<\/strong> at Southwest Biological Institute, US, for painstakingly creating the Schmidt Sting Pain Index, which rates the relative pain people feel when stung by various insects; and to <strong>Michael L.
