Four types of submissions are considered, which are listed below:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><strong>Full-length papers<\/strong> report novel findings and usually run to 5000\u20137000 words.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><strong>Reviews<\/strong> (7000\u20139000 words) are normally by invitation, although prospective authors are welcome to contact the editor-in-chief. Such enquiries should be accompanied by an outline of the proposed review, a CV of the author, a list of his or her publications, and names of possible reviewers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><strong>Discussions<\/strong> (1000\u20133000 words) are short commentaries on articles recently published in<em> Energy<\/em>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><strong>Book reviews<\/strong> (800\u20131200 words) are usually written by the journal\u2019s panel of book reviewers, although the panel may consider submitted reviews. Prospective reviewers should contact the Editor-in-Chief first.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color:#000080;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">EDITORIAL POLICIES AND SUBMISSION GUIDELINES<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">All manuscripts must be submitted at <a href=\"http:\/\/ees.elsevier.com\/egy\/\">http:\/\/ees.elsevier.com\/egy\/<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000080;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">MANUSCRIPT REVIEW PROCESS<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">All manuscripts are first evaluated in-house. Submissions that lack originality, are seriously flawed scientifically, poorly written in terms of grammar or in poor English, or outside the aims and scope of the journal are rejected at this stage. Other submissions are sent to two subject-matter experts for review. Authors are expected, at the time of submission, to supply the names, addresses, and e-mails of three potential referees.
