It\u2019s that time of the year again \u2013 those last couple of hours of the year during which we\u2019re partially looking back on the year gone by and partially wondering what the New Year has in store for us. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

If I\u2019m being honest, then I\u2019d have to admit that I\u2019m still gushing with holiday season cheer and hopelessly trying to recover from all the scrumptious food and sweets I\u2019ve been eating. And if you\u2019re in a similar position, then you\u2019re probably not in the mood to think about making any New Year resolutions. But I\u2019m hoping to change your mind by the end of this special year-end article. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I personally love this time of the year because of all the optimistic anticipation it carries. Regardless of how the previous year was for me, I know that I can\u00a0make new resolutions and alter my approach towards things. But what I love most about the end of the year is that it also makes me think deeply about my achievements, failures, and everything I was fortunate enough to learn during the year. These are the details that help me clearly see what I\u2019ve managed to already accomplish and help me decide what I\u2019d like to do further. Don\u2019t you agree?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m sure that you \u2013 the Editage Insights researcher community \u2013\u00a0have to face several obstacles and challenges on a daily basis. And I also know how easy it is for\u00a0you to forget about your special achievements and accomplishments as you go about your busy schedules. But I couldn\u2019t let that happen! <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So this year, we\u00a0(the Editage Insights team)\u00a0decided to ask you to reflect on the year gone by and share with us your \u20182018 Academic Highlight\u2019\u2014that special moment or experience that stood out in your academic journey this year! And we were overwhelmed by the amazing highlights that you shared with us. Take it from me \u2013 all of you have had a very busy, productive year! T<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>ake a look at some of the wonderful achievements of the Editage Insights community in the year 2018!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It’s raining publications!<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Some of our community members shared that they had been able to get their first paper accepted and published in the year 2018. And that\u2019s not all, while some of you managed to reach double-digits with your publications, still others published papers with family members! Isn\u2019t that amazing?\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Mine would definitely be getting my first paper accepted finally after a 15 month battle.<\/p>\n
