This was a great way to get rid of those Christmas cobwebs, and the sessions were all so informative and interesting. ALSO, most importantly, there was tea in my hotel room.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\"><b>WEEK #2:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"><span style=\"tab-stops: list .5in;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\">And then I really had to get down to work! I redrafted my introduction chapter, read lots of journal articles, and wrote various paper proposals.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"><span style=\"tab-stops: list .5in;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\">I also visited The Women\u2019s Library, LSE for the first time in months. Going back to an archive again was such a treat! (I know. I am fully aware \u00a0of how geeky that sounds!)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Default Title Text\" src=\"http:\/\/insights.cactusglobal.com\/sites\/default\/files\/I%20can%E2%80%99t%20believe%20I%E2%80%99ve%20been%20a%20PhD%20student%20for%20more%20than%20a%20year%20now%20image%202_0.jpg\" alt=\"Default Alt text\" data-file_info=\"%7B%22fid%22:%228065%22,%22view_mode%22:%22default%22,%22fields%22:%7B%22format%22:%22default%22,%22field_file_image_alt_text%5Bund%5D%5B0%5D%5Bvalue%5D%22:%22Default%20Alt%20text%22,%22field_file_image_title_text%5Bund%5D%5B0%5D%5Bvalue%5D%22:%22Default%20Title%20Text%22,%22field_image_tags%5Bund%5D%5Btextfield%5D%22:%22%22,%22field_image_tags%5Bund%5D%5Bvalue_field%5D%22:%22%5C%22%5C%22%5C%22%5C%22%22%7D,%22type%22:%22media%22%7D\" \/><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\"><b>WEEK #3:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"><span style=\"tab-stops: list .5in;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\">I started drafting the first substantive chapter of my PhD, which was nerve-racking and very slow progress!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"><span style=\"tab-stops: list .5in;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\">I also had a meeting with my supervisor. As usual, it was very helpful and really helped me to focus on what I had to prioritise for work.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Default Title Text\" src=\"http:\/\/insights.cactusglobal.com\/sites\/default\/files\/I%20can%E2%80%99t%20believe%20I%E2%80%99ve%20been%20a%20PhD%20student%20for%20more%20than%20a%20year%20now%20image%203_0.jpg\" alt=\"Default Alt text\" data-file_info=\"%7B%22fid%22:%228066%22,%22view_mode%22:%22default%22,%22fields%22:%7B%22format%22:%22default%22,%22field_file_image_alt_text%5Bund%5D%5B0%5D%5Bvalue%5D%22:%22Default%20Alt%20text%22,%22field_file_image_title_text%5Bund%5D%5B0%5D%5Bvalue%5D%22:%22Default%20Title%20Text%22,%22field_image_tags%5Bund%5D%5Btextfield%5D%22:%22%22,%22field_image_tags%5Bund%5D%5Bvalue_field%5D%22:%22%5C%22%5C%22%5C%22%5C%22%22%7D,%22type%22:%22media%22%7D\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: center;\"><em><strong>Copious amounts of caffeine was essential this week.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\"><b>WEEK #4:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"><span style=\"tab-stops: list .5in;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\">Met up with some law friends, wrote more of my chapter, transcribed archive material, sent off conference paper proposals, arranged a talk for International Women\u2019s Day, AND read some more large books.
