Researchers might wonder, \u201cIf papers with such big flaws could pass peer review, what source of information can I trust?\u201d and \u201cIf such papers can pass peer review, why am I struggling to get published?\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; margin: 0in 0in 8pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 107%;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"background: white;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\">To answer the first question, high-impact journals should certainly continue to be trusted. You see, rates of retraction might actually be <\/span><\/span><span class=\"MsoHyperlink\" style=\"color: blue;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"background: white;\"><a style=\"color: blue; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC1866214\/\">higher in more reputable journals<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"background: white;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\"> because of the closer post-publication scrutiny of their articles.
