Now, you may agree with most of the edits suggested.&nbsp;But some you may disagree with. And some of the edits made might not be entirely clear to you.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So,&nbsp;you&nbsp;need to&nbsp;make your opinions clear to&nbsp;the editor.&nbsp;Here are some tips to effectively address editor\u2019s comments:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1.&nbsp;Thoroughly read the feedback shared.&nbsp;You&nbsp;may&nbsp;start by&nbsp;adding&nbsp;a general comment at the beginning thanking the editor for their work on your manuscript. This helps&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;a good rapport with your editor.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Next,&nbsp;accept&nbsp;all&nbsp;the&nbsp;changes you agree with. This way,&nbsp;there\u2019ll&nbsp;be no confusion&nbsp;regarding&nbsp;which ones&nbsp;are unclear to you.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Reply individually to each unclear comment.\u00a0State your doubt\u00a0and\u00a0be specific about what exactly\u00a0needs to be clarified.\u00a0Here\u2019s\u00a0an\u00a0example: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f74de05ca2cab897a119e3096e84b950\">\u201c<em>I do not understand\u00a0this\u00a0comment. What is meant by\u00a0implications?\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0not familiar with this term. Please explain.<\/em>\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.&nbsp;Let\u2019s&nbsp;say you disagree with some edits. Highlight that part of the text and add a comment of your own explaining why the change&nbsp;does not suit you.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ae1d6642206f4c9cdbddde06f0c37079\">\u201c<em>I think this edit&nbsp;changes my intended meaning. What I want to say is \u2018the&nbsp;blob analysis, which is a search technique,&nbsp;was used to examine the air bubbles&nbsp;in sequential images.\u2019&nbsp;The edited sentence&nbsp;seems to say&nbsp;that&nbsp;\u2018the air bubbles were analyzed as blobs.\u2019&nbsp;That&nbsp;would&nbsp;be incorrect. Please&nbsp;suggest alternative edit to&nbsp;retain&nbsp;my meaning.<\/em>\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In some cases, you may request&nbsp;Q&amp;A with the editor. Check with your service provider and see if&nbsp;an&nbsp;option&nbsp;of&nbsp;Editor Q&amp;A is available.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"comm-editor-4\"><strong>Finalizing the Manuscript Before Resubmission<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After the&nbsp;initial&nbsp;submission,&nbsp;the journal editor&nbsp;often requests&nbsp;minor or major revisions before acceptance.&nbsp;At this stage, you might again&nbsp;require&nbsp;your manuscript editor\u2019s&nbsp;assistance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here,&nbsp;you\u2019ll&nbsp;have multiple options&nbsp;at your disposal:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You revise the manuscript\u00a0yourself and resubmit to the\u00a0journal\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You make the revisions and have it checked by your editor before resubmission\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In addition to checking manuscript revisions, you ask the editor to cross-check your responses to peer reviewer comments as well\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>With the first&nbsp;option,&nbsp;there\u2019s&nbsp;no intervention from the editor. But with the second and third,&nbsp;you need to again communicate effectively with the editor&nbsp;regarding&nbsp;your expectations. Here are&nbsp;a few key tips:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>After making the requested revisions, share the edited manuscript and the journal feedback with your\u00a0editor so they can cross-verify that\u00a0you\u2019ve\u00a0addressed\u00a0everything and not overlooked some minor feedback point.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can let them know that editing and proofreading need not be extensive\u00a0for the rest of the manuscript, but the revised sections must be thoroughly reviewed.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If\u00a0you have prepared your responses to peer reviewer comments and want your editor to review them for you, let them know\u00a0about this.
