They look at ways in which their research has contributed to society, e.g., by helping reform policy or health care. In this segment, Euan expands on this trend and emphasizes the need for researchers across the globe to focus on altmetrics and on using this data to provide evidence of the impact their work has had. This is a win-win situation because not only do researchers get to prove how their work has been useful, but funders evaluating their work also get to see how it has helped achieve their own mission.
