What is the difference between an abstract and a synopsis for a biological science research paper?
Asked on 04 Mar, 2018
Most journals usually require a short summary of the research on the first page of the manuscript. Journals might refer to this differently as abstract, summary, or synopsis. They all usually refer to the same and are just different terminologies used by different journals. Most biological science journals require a structured or unstructured abstract of 150-300 words for full-length research articles. You can also find out the specifications of the abstract or synopsis in journal guidelines before writing the abstract.
