• Failure to Use Quotation Marks: Directly quoting another author’s original text without using quotation marks or citing the source as required.
• Self-plagiarism: This is quite common and refers to an author reusing portions of their own previously published work without citing the source.
• Improper paraphrasing: This is the most common form of plagiarism. It involves rewriting text from other sources with only minor changes and/or failing to verify whether the original author has been properly credited.
• Patchwork plagiarism: This form of plagiarism is often difficult to detect and refers to the interweaving of others’ content within the author’s own original work. It is considered a deliberate act of plagiarism.
