Medical writers use raw data to prepare scientific documents, product monographs, newsletters, conference/exhibit materials, etc., while ensuring compliance with regulatory, journal, or other guidelines in terms of content, format, and structure.

- Brief description
Academic editors copy-edit manuscripts, checking for and correcting errors in grammar, language, style, formatting, and consistency. When required, they edit manuscripts substantively, to ensure that the research is clearly and effectively communicated by checking for language, consistency, style, structure, clarity, logic, and flow.
