Editage workshop on the ‘Key aspects of scientific publishing’ a huge success!

A workshop on the ‘Key aspects of scientific publishing’ conducted by Editage, the flagship brand of Cactus Communications, on 25th and 26th March, 2013, Turkey, was a tremendous success and generated an immense positive response from the research and academic community in Turkey. The workshop expounded on some of the important factors in scientific publishing, ranging from planning publication, selecting journals, writing articles, and understanding the peer-review process to ensuring effective communication with journal editors.

Ms. Elizabeth (Liz) Wager, a renowned publication consultant and trainer and author of several books on publication strategy, peer review, publication ethics, and publication guidelines, conducted the workshop. More than 400 participants including researchers and academicians from the fields of medicine, life sciences, engineering, and physical sciences attended the two-day workshop. The workshop saw a fair representation of authors, researchers, and academicians from the 9 Eylül Universitiy, Yaşar, Ege, İzmir Yüksek Teknoloji, Katip universities. The participants actively involved themselves in the sessions and gained immensely from the wealth of information shared.
