Video Summaries for researchers: New service by EDITAGE

Editage today announced the launch of its new video service for researchers. Called Editage Video Summaries, the service is available in 2 forms—as video summaries that tell the full research story in 3-4 minutes, and as video teasers that introduce scientific research to a broad audience in 1-2 minutes.

At a time when it is becoming increasingly important for researchers and publishers to stay visible not only to the immediate academic community but also to society,  videos present a novel and engaging way to present scientific research to a broad audience of peers, funders, policy makers, and lay people. Scientific writers and a team of professional illustrators and animators at Editage can now convert a research manuscript into a short video that highlights the research need, methodology, findings, and implications using images, voiceover, text, and animation. Editage Video Summaries will enable researchers to maximize the reach and impact of their research and stay ahead of the competition.

On the occasion of the announcement, Mr. Shriram Poonja, Senior Vice President, Global Marketing at Editage, stated: “Researchers often come to us struggling to fit the entire breadth of their research into a single manuscript that is limited by word and figure counts.
