Slack Incorporated Launches Author Services in Collaboration with Editage

(June 19, 2018; THOROFARE, NJ) SLACK Incorporated, an independent STM publishing company, announced today that it has engaged with Editage to launch author services for its peer-reviewed journals. SLACK Author Services, powered by Editage, are designed to support authors with not only end-to-end pre-submission manuscript preparation, but also translations and post-publication research communication. Many of these submissions are from international authors who may be developing innovative research, but who have previously found difficulty in publishing due to language barriers or other obstacles to accessibility.

“SLACK Incorporated is pleased to be working with Editage to expand our range of author services on an international scale to authors at any stage of their careers,” said Stephanie Arasim Portnoy, Senior Vice President, SLACK Incorporated, Health Care Books and Journals. “Gaining access to research that might previously had difficulty being disseminated to a wide audience will allow us to continue to pursue our mission to impact the literature in an even more meaningful way.”

On the occasion of the launch of this partnership, Nikesh Gosalia, Director, Academic and Publisher Relations–Editage said, “We look forward to supporting authors submitting to SLACK journals. I believe our in-depth understanding of academia and over 16 years of experience of providing high-quality author services will not only help make the publication process simpler but also help researchers communicate their work to a global audience.”

All authors utilizing Editage to prepare their submissions to SLACK journals will have free access to a wealth of educational resources powered by Editage Insights, the author education arm of Editage.
