#BlockchainResearch: Editage Announces Partnership with British Blockchain Association to Expand Support Services to Journal Authors
(Nov 26, 2019) Blockchain is one of the most revolutionary technologies of the 21st century, enabling transparency and trust in transactions and in a manner that guarantees privacy and security. According to the World Economic Forum (WEF), about 10% of the world GDP will be stored on blockchain by 2027. It is in this context that research into blockchain and its applications become very important.
Researchers across the world are working at the cutting edge of blockchain technology. To publish in reputable journals and get their research out to the largest audience, many researchers have to publish in English, which can pose a challenge to many.
The partnership between Editage and the British Blockchain Association (BBA) is aimed at addressing this and democratizing research in blockchain by improving access to blockchain research produced across the world.
Editage, a leading global scholarly communications brand by Cactus Communications (CACTUS), has partnered with the BBA to offer a bouquet of services for authors submitting to the Journal of British Blockchain Association (JBBA). These services will be available on the co-branded service website launched by Editage and BBA.
BBA is the most influential global nonprofit organization in the field of blockchain technology and home to the JBBA, the world’s first peer-reviewed journal that advocates and promotes evidence-based adoption of blockchain, distributed ledger technologies, and cryptocurrencies.
Nikesh Gosalia, Senior Vice President, Global Academic and Publisher Relations, Editage, is excited about Editage’s foray into blockchain publications. “New technologies and innovations are on the rise in scholarly publishing and it's exciting to support an organization that aims to advance the knowledge, understanding, and application of blockchain technologies through their publications. We hope to make blockchain research and similar publications, so far a niche segment, accessible to a wider audience,” says Gosalia.
The collaboration will give authors submitting to JBBA as well as BBA members access to language editing, manuscript formatting, and translation services offered by Editage experts specializing in blockchain technology. Dr. Naseem Naqvi, President of BBA and Editor-in-Chief of JBBA, says, “In the last two years, JBBA has quickly become one of the most important peer-reviewed publications in blockchain technology. We receive submissions from all geographies and sectors. We are confident that the partnership with Editage will take JBBA to the next level in terms of publication quality and the reach and availability of its services to a much wider audience.”
