Q: Do the focus group and interview participants have to be the same for a case study?

I'm about to conduct my data analysis for my case study. I'm using interviews and a focus group to improve the validity and reliability of the data through triangulation.

Hello,

As there is no answer since, I will try to answer. I would suggest that you have two very distinct samples for your focus group and your interviews. First, conduct a focus group with 8-10 people in order to rough out your subject, and then identify people with similar but heterogeneous profiles with your focus group in order to conduct individual interviews that can add granularity to your findings, thus allowing you to refine the information you have obtained previously.
