Bio
Flávia Oliveira is a Biomedical Sciences in Histocellular Pathology graduate who worked at the Institute of Cancer Research in London, performing DNA sequencing studies for phase I/II clinical trials. Both before and during this time, she became well acquainted with the anxieties of researchers when it comes to publishing. She then started working at the Editorial Office of scientific publisher Frontiers and was fascinated by the other side of the process – how hard publishing professionals work to make sure they are simultaneously giving authors the support they need to publish their findings, all the while remaining the vigilant gatekeepers to make sure only sound science is broadcast into the world.
