Q: I would like to publish my thesis as a book. Is it a good idea?

I believe that my research is very relevant to my country, but it may also be relevant for many other developing countries, and both executives and policymakers could benefit from my work.

If you feel that your thesis would benefit the field and society, you should definitely publish it. You can consider publishing it as an academic book or you could also repurpose it into one or more journal articles. This is a perfectly ethical and acceptable practice. I feel publishing it in the form of article might be more effective as you can publish open access and this will increase the outreach of your research to both the scientific as well as the non-scientific community.
