Bio
Maryam Sayab is the Executive Director of the Asian Council of Science Editors (ACSE), where she leads strategic communications, editorial capacity-building, and research integrity initiatives across Asia and the Global South. She serves as Co-Chair of Peer Review Week 2025, shaping global dialogue on peer review innovation, transparency, and ethical AI use. Maryam is also a Chef at The Scholarly Kitchen and a Board Member of the Katina Open Knowledge Section, contributing thought leadership on open science, metrics reform, publication ethics, and the challenges faced by underrepresented research communities. Her work focuses on strengthening editorial practices, supporting regional journals, and promoting a more equitable and trustworthy scholarly publishing ecosystem.
