I am a clinical research neurologist devoted to the study of brain disorders associated with aging. Investigations have focused on risk/protective factors in age-related neurodegenerative disorders and what can be done to maintain health with aging. My group has documented molecular mimicry involving anti-amyloid antibodies and plant viruses. We are also devoted to understanding the causes of protein misfolding in Parkinson’s disease and related disorders.
