Dr. Syed Alamdar Ali Shah is a distinguished scholar, researcher, and academic leader whose expertise lies at the intersection of Islamic Finance, Sustainable Finance, Fintech, and Capital Markets. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Forman Christian College (A Chartered University), Lahore, he combines profound academic insight with over 14 years of professional banking experience to foster innovation and intellectual rigor in finance education and research. Dr. Shah earned his Ph.D. in Islamic Finance and Capital Markets with distinction from Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia, where he also completed four Postdoctoral Fellowships in areas spanning Fintech in Islamic Risk Management, Sustainable Islamic Finance, and Economic Growth. His exceptional academic journey reflects a steadfast commitment to advancing ethical and sustainable financial systems that integrate cutting-edge technologies with Shariah principles. An accomplished researcher, Dr. Shah has published extensively in Scopus- and Web of Science–indexed journals, including Journal of Islamic Marketing, Journal of Modelling in Management, and Journal of Islamic Accounting and Business Research. His scholarly contributions—such as the concept of “Reversed Present Value,” the framework of Islamic Econophysics, and the Shariah-Compliant Macaulay’s Duration Model—demonstrate his pioneering role in redefining theoretical and empirical frontiers in Islamic finance. Beyond research, Dr. Shah contributes significantly to academia as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Forman Journal of Business and Innovation, Associate Editor of the Sage Open and Journal of Islamic Economic Laws, and member of multiple academic, editorial and boards.
