Editor-in-Chief shares pet peeves that lead to manuscript rejection

Rejection is common in academic publishing. And one of the most common reasons for rejection is a mismatch with journal scope and aims. As an author, you may have struggled with identifying the best journal for your research, more so if you are working in a niche subject area. So how do you choose the right journal for your research paper? How do you communicate effectively with journal editors to maximize your chance at acceptance?

Get your answers from an expert! Editage and Researcher.Life, in association with Wolters Kluwer, invite you to an exclusive webinar: Editor’s pet peeves that lead to manuscript rejection.

The webinar will be led by Dr. Kim Curry, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, who will share valuable insights on choosing the right journal for your research and what to do to avoid manuscript rejection.

Given the sheer number of manuscripts being submitted, it is critical to ensure that yours is not rejected because of errors that could easily have been avoided. During this insightful 60-minute webinar, Dr. Curry will speak about the scope and guidelines of her journal to help you understand how to:

  • Analyze and understand a journal’s scope when choosing a journal for your research
  • Identify key author guidelines and learn how to incorporate these into your manuscript
  • Effectively use query letters to optimize the match between the journal and your paper
  • Avoid common mistakes when interacting with editorial and publication staff
