Q: Do I need to create a different title for my research article that is based on my M.Phil thesis?
1 Answer to this question
Answer:
Generally speaking, it should not be a problem if the title of your article adapted from your M. Phil thesis is similar to that of the thesis itself. This is because in most cases theses are not published and are circulated internally within the university. However, I would suggest that you tweak the title slightly rather than using the same title. Moreover, make sure you cite your thesis in the article and inform the journal editor that your article is based on your Master’s thesis.
