Q: What is the importance of a concept paper in a corporate setting?
A concept paper is like a research proposal, but at the university level. It provides an outline of the proposed research, in order to assess (by the supervisor) whether or not the research is feasible, and therefore, whether to give it a go-ahead, suggest revisions, or shift to another research topic.
About a corporate setting, without knowing more about the topic, it may not be possible for us to provide a further response. Also, it may probably be something that you need to find out more about by doing a literature search, that is, a search of relevant studies around the topic.
