Q: How do I verify that my target journal is indexed in ISI, Scopus, or Scimago?
I wish to submit my article in a journal. While selecting my target journal, can I check the terms of the journal, that is, if the journal is indexed in Scopus, ISI or Scimago database?
Answer: To verify whether a particular journal is indexed and in which databases, you can use Editage's free Journal Finder, which will tell you exactly which databases (SJR, Scopus, etc.) a journal is indexed in. If your abstract is ready, you can also use Journal Finder to find out whether your target journal has published papers on your topic.
Is gene reports journal indexed on Scopus?
Mahmoud Hamed Altamimi, The Jordan Journal of Earth and Environmental Sciences does seem to be on the Master Journal List, as seen here: https://mjl.clarivate.com/search-results
Answer: Scopus is the number one abstract and citation database of journals which contains more than 70 Million items like scientific articles, conference proceedings, book chapters, lecture notes, and books. In order to verify the targeted journal is indexed in the Scopus or not, we have to do the following steps. 1. Go to www.scopusindexedjournals.com 2. Enter the journal title in the search box, and press enter. 3. Finally, you will get details about the journal with all database coverage.
To check if your manuscript is indexed in the ISI Web of Science, visit http://mjl.clarivate.com/. After logging in, you may search by the complete journal name or the ISSN number. The search result will indicate if your desired journal is indexed in SCI, SCI-E, or ESCI. Remember that all SCI, SCI-E, and ESCI-indexed journals are included in the ISI web of science database. Similarly, scholars may determine whether their desired journal is listed in the Scopus database by utilizing their search page or the Scopus-powered SCImago journal page search engine. In addition, the database may be searched using the journal title, publisher, or ISSN number.
