Q: Is the table number written above the table?

Typically, the caption for a table, including the table number is written above a table. However, for a figure, it is written below. It is best to check the instructions for authors provided by your journal to understand if the journal has any other specifications. Additionally, please check some of the published articles in previous issues of the journal and see where the table numbers have been placed.
