Dr. Olufunke A. Alaba is a Senior Lecturer in the Health Economics Unit, School of Public Health and Family Medicine at the University of Cape Town. She is an applied econometrician with a research interest in social determinants of health, poverty, and development economics.

Plaxcedes Chiwere

Plaxcedes Chiwere is a Deputy Supervisor: Strategic planning unit (Health Economist) with Western Cape Department of Health, South Africa. She is also currently a Ph.D. candidate at Maastricht University, Netherlands. Her research interests are in health inequalities, health economics, costing, and cost-effectiveness.
