What does "victimization" mean in the context of research?

Define victimization in regard to research studies and give examples according to your understanding.

This is a field specific question. This forum is meant only for questions related to different aspects of the publication process.

As far as I know, a victimization survey usually refers to a study or survey of people who have been victims in some kind of social evil or crime. However, this is not our area of expertise, so I'm afraid I would not be able to give you a detailed answer. I think it might be a good idea to approach a subject area expert such as your supervisor or a senior colleague.
