We scientists have the unique opportunity to contribute to society with our research. The scientific content must be meaningful and have the right message. But for it to have a clear and useful impact, the content needs to be packaged well! 

And that’s where presentation becomes critical. Your research paper should get through the first gatekeepers—meaning the journal editors—before being disseminated to the scientific community. This means that your content should be logically structured. 

Begin by laying the groundwork for your readers in the Introduction section, take them through the journey of your research in the Methodology and Results sections, and interpret your findings in the Discussion section to help them arrive at the same conclusions that you did.
