Q: The status after resubmission does not change

Detailed Question -

I submitted a revised manuscript with a response letter to peer review comments. It has been about a month since resubmission, but the status remains “With Editor” and has not been updated to “Under review” yet. Is it too early to make inquiry about the current status?

Answer:

Welcome to the Q&A forum and thank you for your question! Most journals take 6-8 weeks to respond with a decision. Owing to the pandemic peer review periods are also getting affected. We would suggest that you wait for a few more weeks. If you still don't hear from the journal, you can consider writing to the Editor-in-Chief of the journal requesting for an update on the status of your manuscript submission
