Q: The status shows "Reviews completed" but the editor is not replying. What should I do?
Our paper, submitted in April to a Springer journal, was under review till September 21. Even though it is past three weeks, there is no reply. We wrote to the editor and were told that the paper is under editorial decision. But the online tracking system shows the status "Reviews completed."
Your question is not very clear. I am assuming that you wrote to the editor after the status changed to "Reviews completed." Since the editor has replied to your email it is best to go by what the editor says. Sometimes, the status descriptions may not be very clear. Since the editor has said that the paper is under editorial decision, you should wait for a couple of weeks more. If there is no change in status or if you don't receive a decision letter by then, you can write to the editor again asking for a status update.
