Q: What is meant by the status "Submissions Being Processed"?

I submitted my manuscript to a Springer journal. The submission status was changed to ‘Submission Being Processed’. It has been over 20 days, but the submission date and the status remain same. Please let me know when will be the status date changed?

Generally speaking, as per the process flow of the submission system, when a submission has been approved, it will be marked as the ‘Submissions Being Processed.’ However, depending on the system configuration chosen by the Publication, it may not be possible to view the status date of a submission. Usually, at the ‘Submissions Being Processed’ stage, the manuscript is in the process of being transmitted to an editor.

Please check your inbox to see whether you have received a confirmation of the successful completion of your submission along with the manuscript number and submission ID. If you have received the submission confirmation, you may expect the submission status to be changed to something like ‘with Editor’ or ‘under review’ soon. If the status doesn’t change in next couple of days, you may write to the journal requesting to clarify the status.
